I run an AOD and love it, although I dont have a manual set-up. I gotta ask, why do you want to swap a stick, just to go to the manual valve body auto??

Lentech Automatics makes valve bodies for both the AOD and AODE that feature the best of both worlds.....manual operation when you want it, TV operation when you don't. When shifting manually, they'll hold the gear until you command the change via the shifter. When placed in drive, they'll shift automatically. There are also options such as electronic overdrive delete and internal lockup (not to be confused with converter lockup). I just put one in a customer's AOD, and its a blast to drive on the street. Neck snapping shifts when you grab 2nd & 3rd.

Lightbulb Re: aode with a manual valve body?

Thanks for the reply guys, I had a procharger on my car for several years and just swap in a turbocharger. I always granny shifted with the t-5 and the boost would drop off between shifts. I could make faster shift with a aod with no boost drop off. My car is not a daily driver but is driven on the streets. It makes enough HP to break the t-5 so before anything bad happens to the tranny. I am trying to get information on what I need to make the swap.
