ARB airlocker for 8.8" and 9" 28 and 31 spline...
Any of you guys running one of these, I saw the ad in MM&FF it sounded intresting. I know they are big in 4X4 applications but they say it will hold up in street or strip duty. I e-mailed them for more info, but haven't see a resonse as of yet.

They're good, reliable pieces as far as I can tell. They are a total B!TCH to install though. I helped my friend install one on a Jeep he has. With the locker, the air container, and all the hook ups, it seemed to take forever. It's held up uned a 400hp 350 pretty well though. And it has the added perk of being able to act like a convetional differential until you flip that switch. Then it's full lock up. Oh yeah....they're pretty damn expensive too.

I was just looking for alternatives to a Auburn Pro or FMS Trac-Lok. I had my heart set on a Auburn pro but have heard some bad things about them I need some that can be rebuilt, I don't plan on buying a new one every couple of years. I have heard the FMS Trac-Lok is pretty reliable and can be rebuilt for around $80.00 in parts. How much was the ARB unit, I am still awaiting a reply.

hey lx xlr8r dont buy a powertrax. they are a good product, but unless you can stand the noise of a rear end that sounds like its eating it self up all the time i wouldnt get it. i got rid of mine because all you can hear is real loud banging everytime you round a corner. its kinda embarrasing. sounds like your car is destroying it self. good luck

Dave351, what rear did you go with after the PowerTrax? Was it really that noisy?
