Jeff is 100% right, but I'm a diehard "STICKhead". So I vote standard tranny. Lots of guys are running a clutch in Pure Street/Real Street with no problems. Granted there are more auto's and clutchless systems than there are clutches, but there are guys still rowing gears out there, and doing well.
I got hooked up with Walt down at Pro Motion Powertrains in Florida. He's extremely knowledgable (spelling?) and HE talks to you on the phone, not one of his workers. Anyways, I'm running a faceplate pro shifted TKO with one of Walts kevlar clutches, and his pressure plate.
Anyways, I'll be less consistant than the autos, and I'll be harder on axles and equipment. But I like shifting my gears.
Like I said, Jeff is absolutely on the money. But I think it's all personal preferance. If you want to stay with the stick shift, there ARE ways to get it done.
Good luck, let us know what you decide to go with!
