![]() well, it looks like i will be getting a 5.0 again, there isnt eanough 60's stangs in good shape(no rust) around at a reasonable cost.
i was thinking about getting a 5.0, ill take a stick, or auto, but i was wondering what kinda times do the 87-93 5.0's turn with an aod factory stock? also, how do they launch compared to the 5 speeds(i could only manage a best of 2.181 in the 60' in the gt) this stang will be a drag car, with the occasional drive around town on nice nights, but no where near daily driving. now, doing an aod-c4 conversion, how much power would you gain to the wheels(if any)? i was thinking of going with about a 3000rpm stall, and a shift kit if i do go with an auto, but i dont know anything about them. the car will have a turbocharger or two in the future, so it will have a little bit of power, but i want the tranny to be able to take it. thanks
