AutoMeter electric fuel pressure gauge help

I just bought the AutoMeter electric fuel pressure gauge for my car. The wiring looks really straightforward but... does anyone know what fitting I need to hook the fuel pressure sending unit to the schrader valve? As always, thanks!

Take a look, maybe youll find what you need.

You need a 1/16" Male to 1/8" Female fitting. The 1/16" goes where the schrader valve is (remove the valve after you have released the fuel pressure) - and the gauge sender will screw into the 1/8" female end.

If you didn't get it when you bought the gauge (like me) you will spend more on shipping & handling than the cost of the part (like me). Unless you have a decent shop or HW store near you that carries them...

I've been thinking of going to the autometer electric fpg. What did the guage and everything to install it cost you? Where were you able to order it from?

The gauge is $179 from Summit or Jegs, you will need to order a 1/16" Male to 1/8" female brass adapter (about $8) to connect the sender to the fuel rail (where the schrader valve is). Otherwise, the gauge comes with everything you need - unless you need to mount it in an A-pillar pod or vent cage of some kind (add about $45 for one of those).

The 130A alt works AWESOME. It is really a necessary upgrade once you get underdrive pulleys (or if you have a big stereo or an electric fan). I got mine at Pep Boys (for about $150), just tell them it is for a 94 GT, and they will give you the 130A alt (you should be able to return the stock core without them noticing the difference :-). You will need to splice in a new connector, and add a 4AWG power wire (I bought the 4AWG wire seperate from www.pa-performance.com - they sell the alt, and entire kits too) it was $60 but it is very high quality, and fits perfect. There are some lengthy articles on the install procedure on the corral(dot)net website (like needing to Dremel part of the exisitng bracket to get it to fit)... I think the hi-amp alternator is a good idea, but I have underdrive pulleys, electric fan, and a decent stereo, and quite a few extra electric gauges and have had no charging problems at all with my factory rated alt. I do have march's pulleys with the smaller alt. pulley to speed it back up, so maybe thats the difference?

Thanks for the help Red92,I have had a slight problem with my car since I added my stereo system and still have stock setup. I think I'm gonna ditch the stereo(subs) and keep it stock with a small amp for good quality sound. I did plan on getting the underdrive pulleys and an electric fan down the road so I have a pretty good idea I will see a problem. Aprecciate the help fellas.

Make sure you get the "power and amp" series undrive pulleys from March. The pulley set comes with an alternator pulley that brings the alt. RPM's back up so it is within 2% of factory charging ability.

Running Stage 2 Avenger heads (51cc chambers), Stage 2 cam (.549, .566)1.72 Crane Gold Race rockers, Port matched GT-40 upper & lower, 75mm Bullet MAF, 65mm Accufab TB, MSD 6AL, Long Tubes through off road and 2 chamber flowbastards. Stock T-5, 3.73 gears, Center Line Convo-Pros with skinnies up front. My baby is now bottle fed!!! Best time on the motor was 12.92 at 109.57. UPDATE - Getting Ready to install: Tremec 3550, Blowproof Bellhousing, Strange Shocks/Struts, Moroso Springs, Upper/Lower control Arms, 31 spline axles and new differential. After this..... 347 heart transplant and Rollcage.
