Axles- Ranger/F-150 have 31 splines??? can soemone help me on this
 

I remember seeing a topic that stated you can get 31 splined axles from a 7.5" Ranger rear, but you need 2 drivers side. Then I saw another state that some year F-150 came with 31 splined axles and heavy duty 31 spline trac-locs. Can someone tell me if this is true and what years to look for. A local salvage yard is having a huge sale and I thought I might try to see what I can get...

The ranger axles are for doing an econo-5 lug conversion. V-8 Explorers and full size trucks use the 31 spline carrier. As far as using the axles go, I am not sure.

I use a 31 spline traction lock in my car.

i got 31 spline moser axels sitting around and im gonig to pick up a 31 spline heavy duty traction loc(stock out of lightnings) from Downs ford..bill devine told me they are better than the auburns

the 7.5 rangers are 28 spline and they bolt right up to the stock mustang diff.
