B&M Ripper Shifter ?
 

I have a Ripper shifter installed on my 95 GT(tremec).My question is on installation.When installing the shifter you have off-set washers that position the entire shifter up towards the engine or back towards the output shaft a slight bit.What is the purpose of this off-set?What is it's function?Does it matter what position you choose as far as shifter operation goes?I am having trouble downshifting after the install.Down shifted fine with the stock tremec shifter.Any input on this would be greatly appreciated.Thanks 95/GT/5.0 :confused:
