Hey everyone, I have my transgo shift kit ready to go and my A servo is comming in a few days. Now I was wondering. How do you install the A SERVO! any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a snap ring that holds the servo in,may take a little to get the old one out but its cut and dry,servo-snap ring, thats it.

That's a good mod for anyone with an AOD to do. I installed the A servo when I rebuilt & tricked mine last April, and it's held up to nightly street racing without a problem. You'll definitely notice more "bump" when OD engages, not so much of a slide. If the transmission is in good condition, you'll enjoy every minute of it.

As far as installation, just look for the round piece of aluminum that has a "B" on it. Just use some snap ring pliers to remove the cover, drop down the cover, the piston, and the spring; make sure you use a *little* bit of vaseline on the seals so they slide in okay!!! You did order seals and a new return spring, didn't you? To install it, carefully slide the piston into the cover, put the spring on the rod, and very slowly, carefully, and squarely push this assembly back into the servo bore. Holding the cover with one hand, reinstall the snap ring. Now you just have the valve body to bolt on, and you're almost done. Good luck. http://www.mustangworks.com/msgboard/smile.gif
