Default backfiring out of intake????????

hey i have a 90 gt and it has been backfiring out of the intake since i bought it. It only dose it in the morning or when it is cold but when it heats up it stops. I have tried adjusting the timing and cleaned the MAF, put a new IAC on and it will stall in the morning and when you start to go the pedal will go down but nothign happens then it backfires and the car will take off.........any ideas????

Usually an intake backfire indicates a lean condition and an exhaust backfire point to being too rich. Waht is initial set at?

TIMING TIMING TIMING!!!! What's it at, mine did the same thing about 6 years ago. it was my timing.

sorry to jump in w/ a stupid question, but how can u tell if its an intake or exhaust backfire?

90 gt, are you removing the spout connector when you change the timing?
