Bad Running Stang

Hope someone out there can help me out!!!!!
I have an 1989 stang with a 5.0 block in it but the rest is
all changed up! I have had the car for sevral years and the last
couple of time i have driven it it starts 2 have a rough idle and
likes to back fire thru the intake and has major lost of power!
Now I do have a PMS and its giving me the code of 0200 which
is a loss of output spark fault. Now I feel that all my basics are
covered (Wires,Coil, Plugs,Cap,Rotor,O2 Sensors) I even went as far
as to disconnect the PMS and I still have the same Problem...
Does anyone have any kind tips or the right trick to fix this problem??
It sure would be great to get it running Great again!!!!!
Thanks for all your Help!!!!

Matt

Re: Bad Running Stang

You need to set the timing back to stock before you use the PMS, sounds like timing issue, what is it set at right now?.....Try posting on stangtuning.com as well..Good PMS troubleshooting there...

Re: Bad Running Stang

Thanks for the post. I am at 14 degrees at Ideal. I have had that
timing for some time.. I had it there with pms and it was running
awesome in fact at the track it ran 12.53 @ 108 MPH. Which for
what I have done with car that time makes me happy!!!! Now the problem was never there before, but as I keep driving it the problem comes and goes. At this point in time the problem is there and doesn't go away.. I will try the site you had suggested.. If anything I have now said sparks any feed back please let me know!!
Again thank you for your Post and feed back!!!!
