Default Best Ignition module and Coil?

Other than the original equipment ignition module, is there a better one that people favor like the dynamod or holley? also, has anyone moved there ignition module from the distributor to the firewall like the 94-95 mustangs? cause i burn up tfi's but i am getting a new distributor cause i think my bearings in mine are fried at only 60K..

Heat is what kills the TFI modules. Realistically, there are no gains to be found with anything beyond the stock tfi and coil for a N/A car other than adjustable rev limiter control. The TFI can be relocated by using a harness adapter from a 5.0 or 5.8 econoline van IIRC.

If you get a new dist, the MSD pro billet is a nice piece.

What mods do you have?, If you have lots of underhood temp, maybe a cowl hood is needed to cool it off.

I have a Wells TFI, no problems, did not trust the 12 yr old Motorcraft one. Since the Ford ones burn up, I went with the Autozone lifetime warranty.

I got the MSD TFI blaster coil and hate it, it's noisy and no performance improvment. The crane is supposed to be quiet, at least nobody complains about them like the MSD

my car has a f303 cam, trickflow intake, roller rockers, flowtech headers, a 160 degree thermo, etc etc.. i think though my distributor was just getting hot from a bad internal bearing on the shaft.. i never had any problems with it otherwise. also i think i am gunna remove my headers and get mac unequal length instead of equal flowtechs.. there just a serious pain to my wires and plug installation.
