Not if it's less than 3 years old, and hasn't been drained several times. If it's over 3 years old, or has been allowed to drain down repeatedly, then yes, it is normal.

Take care,

Obviously, a fairly new battery with a full charge shouldn't go dead in three weeks without use but you may have a small, unnoticed battery drain you're not aware of (besides the clock) or the battery isn't fully charged when you park it and the combination of a partially-charged battery and possibly a small drain can kill it, as you've experienced.

Of course, you could just have a defective battery. It happens. Have it checked. I bought a Die Hard once and it presented me with a dead cell within 9 months with no abuse or any other real reason. Sears verified the problem and replaced it for just a few dollars, pro-rated.

Worth a shot.
