Post Who has 70mm TB bbk and stock hood?

I installed my 70mm TB a couple months ago and just noticed the other night that it is rubbing the hood. It has already torn through all the insulation and has scraped up the underneath of my hood. But I have no noticable marks on the outside of my hood. Does anyone else have this problem. I saw where its hitting at. It looks like a vacuum line that comes off of the TB and L's out toward the alternators area.

The car i just bought has a BBK 70mm throttle body and i don't notice any marks like that. Do you have any spacers between the manifolds or aftermarket intake manifolds?

I had that problem with the stock intake & 1/2" spacer. Now I use a GT-40 intake and no spacer without problems. I found that you could gain a little clearance by sticking washers between the hood and the hinges that bolt to it. The problem is that the hood will be sligtly raised in the back by the windshield and won't sit flush. It didn't look that bad though. Another option would be to get a cowl hood.
