BBK H Pipe w/MAC Long tubes

I've been running MAC longtube headers for quite sometime now, with a cat H pipe. I'd like to get an o/r h pipe for these headers for track use only, yeah right... Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew if the BBK h pipe for long tube headers would work with my MAC long tube headers.

Lets see...long tube headers....and long tube H-pipe...hmmmmm...sounds like a match to me..:)

Yes, it will work. Mac headers arent specific to only mac h-pipes.

I have read several posts that report the Mac and BBK long tube headers are not exactly the same lengths, and they require the corresponding H pipe from the same MFG. I have a crispy set of Stock headers and H pipe and plan to get BBK long tubes and H pipe. I was supposed to get a set of used MAC long tubes but they were rusted after 18 months or so, so that fell through. I have a MAC cat back that I am happy with though!

All I can say is the new-used MAC H-pipe I bought was from a BBK longtube owner, when it didnt fit his Mustang...

Thanks for the help so far, I didn't expect such quick responses. I got the headers used, and yup they were rusted but not badly, just small stuff. Well that was a year ago and they have rusted quite a bit. The thing is, and I don't understand why, but I can get a new BBK H Pipe cheaper than a new MAC one, and well I want to get away from MAC as soon as I can. I'd just hate to pay the money, try it on, then if it doesn't work, squabble to get my money back.

I have always heard that it is much easier to mate Mac to Mac and BBK to BBK and if you try to mix and match you will most likely get leaks. I've never personally mixed the two though.

keep in mind, h-pipes in general dont fit like a glove and usually require some "convincing" to get them installed.

By the way, I have BBK headers and a MAC H-pipe, and mine fits fine together, although I have shorty headers, not long tubes.

Thats like factory replacement!
Shorties are like replacing the stock headers. Lungtubes are totally custom. Like adding flowmaster mufflers to a dynomax exhaust...

If they are 1-3/4" it absolutly will not work. Headers are completly different lenghts.

The headers are 1 5/8" and seem to be the "standard" type of MAC long tubes, if that helps.
