Long tubes
Well, Mercury, you were right about my problem with no power at high rpms - the exhaust was restricted. One of the cats got damaged when I bottomed out and I guess once that happens so much heat builds up there that the element starts to melt and get progressively worse. Ford would want $1500 for parts to replace the cats!
So I ordered some BBK long tubes and short H-pipe with cats. I have heard some people say that they needed MIL eliminators with this combo and others say that they didn't. Anybody have any experience with this? I got stage 8 locking header bolts, O2 sensor extenders, and new header gaskets. Anything else I'll need to do this right? I'm hoping my install shouldn't be too bad since I have a tubular K-member and a Borgeson steering shaft.
