Question put heads on, or keep it stock

I have a set of windsor jr's in my shop doing nothing except collecting dust. I also have a bone stock 93lx. I was thinking of installing them with a set of 1 5/8 unequals that i have, but it seems like when ever you crack that "factory seal" you start to have little annoying problems with the car. My car has 96k and it dosn't leak or use any oil or have any problems at all. This car is my daily driver, but camaros are picking on me and I hate it. Do you think I should leave it alone and hunt them down with my 79, or put the heads on and chance the problems that usally happen when you put the performance parts on? (surging idle, computer codes... etc)

Thumbs up

I say go for it. I know what you mean about the "factory seal" but I don't think you'll have any surging problems with just heads and exhaust. What about an intake?

It has the stock intake, but i think the heads and exhaust will make it a fun street car to drive. I just don't want to get sucked into the performance upgrade fever with this car, I have one and I don't want another. It's so hard to leave it alone though. Maby I'll try to sell them, but there kind of worth more to me to keep them then what I could get for them.

Throw 'em on, but you should probably get an intake too, just to make sure you don't have any problems with those pesky slomaros. And heck, for a a few bucks more you can get the pulleys, and you probably ought to splurge for control arms and sub frames to get that new power to the ground and stiffen up the chassis. Well you might want to get a set of drag radials too, just to make sure you get the traction you need, but don't worry you can stop anytime you want...

Put them on, those bugs you are talking about are mostly from people who don't have a clue sticking a wrench where they shouldn't be.. If you know what you are doin, then you should have no worries

If your worried about surging idle and such, just leave the cam stock.

I say throw on the heads and a Cobra inatke. Dont touch anything else you'll be fine.
