Default Belt Quest.

ive got an issue with finding the right belt for my car. '92 lx 5.0

heres the problem:i dont have A/C anymore but i still run the smog pump (even though its disconnected) and im trying to find a belt to bypass it. cant find one.

also keep in mind that i dont see the need to go and buy the FRPP smog elim pulley and i absolutely refuse to run under drive pulleys.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks

if you have an a/c eliminator bracket when you bought it ishould of had the part numbers for two belts one with smog and without. i even think ther was one for no power steering. if you dont have bracket you need it and you can find it at most speed shops or in mags

C'mon Tony, pull the smog pump and just run a short belt from the crank to the water pump, get rid of that bulky alternator too! j/k If you take a piece of string and wrap it around the pulleys you are gonna use, all you have to do is measure the length and get a belt that size. I pulled my smog pump and ended up with a 76" belt, but I still have the a/c on there too. You gotta crank the tensioner up to get past the water pump without rubbing though. It might be best if you have your LITTLE bro over to help you, he can hold the tensioner while you route the string.
