Question Bent Axle???

I was woundering how I could tell if I have a bad rear axle or not. I slamed into a curb and now my wheel wobbles, or looks like it does. How much is a rear axle anyways? I thought it was just the outside of the wheel that was bent but the other day I looked at my tread and it is bald on the inner tread. People always tell me that my wheel wabbles but I can't feel it inside the car untill recently. I rotated the back two tires and tonight I'm gonna have someone drive beside me to see if it still wabbles. If it does what should I do? I have a feeling that I'm just gonna end up taking it to the Ford dealership but any help I can get here would be great. Thanks!

Sounds like a bent axle but quite possibly just a bent wheel. Check it out carefully.

A pair of Moser 'street' axles (stronger than factory...and cheaper to buy) run about $225.
Installation isn't a huge deal but if you don't have much experience, let a pro do it.
Think of it as an upgrade.

I agree If it is a bent axel you might as well step up to aftermarket set.
