There is no such thing as the best heads. It all depends on your setup, future plans for the car, price range, and how fast do you want to go.
You said for a street car so you want to find somthing with small runners that flow good with out a huge valve so you have good power down low. If I were building a street car I would look a a set of iron windsor jr's with a little port work. They have a nice price tag and good quality. Not that there is anything wrong with the performers, but I just world castings.

Here's another vote for the Windsor Jr. heads. I've got a set on mine. They've been mildly ported by Kieth Craft and flow in the neighborhood of 235 cfm on the intake and 190 cfm on the exhaust and .5" lift. That's better than a good many heads and for only $900 assembled with the good components.

They do good work at Keith Craft (build Doug Mangrum's motor), and last time I talked with Keith, he told me they had several sets of ported heads in stock and ready to go.

well my friend had the lunati in his car and i had an E303. we decided to trade and i went from a 12.81 @ 107 to a 12.63 @ 109. so i guess that i make more HP with the lunati cam. im guessing 20 HP more with the lunati compared to the E303. also i gained on bottle. i went 11.64 @ 119 with the E303 and a 11.51 @ 123 with the lunati. i like the cam. i am actually suprised at the times that this car is running.

hands down the windsors are the best out of the box head for the money and power. although there are other heads that are good they dont fit your app. and most have problems or need extra work and cost 1500$. and you get little or no extra power from them. if you want a streetable car with alot of power keep it simple

AFR 165's for a 302, would work real nice with an Edelbrock Performer RPM or Holley intake.

I finally got my set of 185's talk about a peanut port flowing real good, On my engine builders flow bench they peaked at 276 cfm and are on the smallish side of a 1262(?) gasket. Anywhosit, if your planning on running an Victor 5.0 efi intake with the 185's. Forget it and move upto the 205's and save a little bit of money or else you'll be doing a port match and some blending just to get the intake to match up.
