Best cam for 95 Cobra?

What would be the best cam for a 94-95 Cobra. It'll have Headers/X-pipe, gears, stock gt-40 heads/cobra intake. ANy suggestions?

The 94-95 computters are finicky about cams. Two of the cams that I've seen work are the Steeda #19 and the Crower 15511 cam. The Crower made more power.

I've seen two cams work well too:
Steeda #19 and Crane 2031.

What would I need to change if I went with the Steeda #19? Would I need to have a new chip progammed for the setup or reset the computer?

No, a chip shouldn't be necessary. I would upgrade the valve springs, retainers, and keepers though.

I wouldnt even worry bout the springs since your cobra came with almost .500 lift.

But they're nearly 10 years old now.... and their open and seat pressures weren't that high to begin with.

As I have owned a 94 Cobra, I hope I can help. I had no problems running the E and F cams from FRPP. Granted, those are like bungholes, everybody's got one. I've heard the "rumor" about the computers not liking a cam swap, and in my experiance, I had a few idle issues with the F cam, but those issues were solved by adjusting my TPS. I don't know much about the other cams, just what I've read and heard, but everybody that has one won't change them out. I guess that says alot.

As far as the Computer goes, I can't help out much in that area. Sorry about that. Anyway, hope to have helped in some way. Later.
