Best chip for supercharger
I have a 91 lx convertible with catback flowmasters and a 5psi vortech. The rest is bone stock. I was thinking of getting a chip and was wondering what company would be the best or if there are better mods to do first. Thanks

If you plan on do any more modifications down the road, I suggest you wait to get a chip. The best time to get a chip burnt is when you make a dyno pull and I don't know if there is a chip you can just order that would make much of a difference right now, because you don't know exactly how your car is running. A few pulls on the dyno and wide band O2 would allow someone to burn you a chip that would better suit your car.
If you don't have a bigger mass air, I suggest you start there and 24 or 30 lb injectors. Oh and a 190 or 255 fuel pump.

Thanks for the info,
After reading tons of other threads I have decided to skip the chip for now. What size mass air would you suggest, if I were to get 30lb injectors? Is there a big difference between the 30lb and 24lb injectors? Also, any ideas on how much power I will add with injectors, maf and a better fuel pump. |

C&L makes a nice 76 mm mass air for around $180. Pro M also makes some good meters. 24 lb injectors are good for about 400 hp, 30's are good for 450 (I think). The injectors and fuel pump want necessarily add more power, but they will give you something to grow on and prevent you from leaning out. The mass air will add some power, how much I don't know. I've never seen dyno numbers on a stock meter vs aftermarket meter on a blown car. If I had to guess, I would say about 20 hp.
