big block c6 questions

hi there, i have a 91 lx stang that im workin on puttin a 460 stroker in. my problem is with the tranny.
i have a c6 that i think came from a truck. it has a flat flange on the tailshaft to bolt the driveshaft up to.
my question is what do i have to do to this tranny to be able to put the splined driveshaft yoke in the tailshaft? do i need to change the output shaft if i change the tailshaft to accept this yoke? and how do i get it to be compatible with my cars speedo cable? should i even attempt this, or should i just find a big block c6 from a car?

please, any info is greatly appreciated, as i have little to no experience with transmission work!
