Default t5 questions

i was wondering if a t5 out of an 87 thunderbird turbo coupe will bolt in place of a 5.0 t5? I've heard people doing it, but I've also heard that the input shaft and pilot bearings are different. The only reason why is because the turbo coupe trans has a 4.01 or so first gear ratio and that would be one hell of a get off the line gear. thanks

The input shaft and piot bearings are different, but they can be changed. It is possable to put a 4 banger T-5 behind a 5.0 but it won't last long. The V-8's torque will shread it.
