Got the 4.10's in tonight- good thing I did!!!
Well, I just got my car back from getting the 3.73's swapped for 4.10's and a new clutch pack for the traction lock rear. Well its a good thing I did. My stock traction lock was so bad that I had broken ever single one of the tabs that are on the disc that go between each little clutch. Here they got between the gears and scorned them a little. The guy said he never saw anyone that has broken ever single tab, and that I was lucky that the rear didn't lock up on me. The good news is that the 3.73's aren't that bad and my dad can still use them. My speedo is now 10mph off with the 23 tooth speedo, but at 2500rpm's my speedo is at around 67-68mph, which isn't too bad. I couldn't get on it in 1st, 2nd, and sometimes 3rd as I had no traction, but it is 35* outside and raining so that can be expected. The guy also added a 20 thousandths shim to the clutches to make them lock up more, this should really help at the track. I just wanted to pass along this info to all you with worn traction locks, you might want to get them redone before it locks up on you. Soon I'll have pics up on my website of the broken pieces, they are something to see!!! Well if the seat-o-pants meter holds true, I should return from the track this week with a 13.7 timeslip under my belt. We'll see sunday if it doesn't rain.

I can't tell you for sure right now. First I'm going to see if I like these gears or not, if I don't I'm putting the 3.73's back in. However if I do like them and my dad swaps out his 3.55's, a guy we know wants them, but he is having problems with his heads, so I don't know if he'll have the cash for the gears, so if that's the case I'll let you know.
