Big Set Back
Well I had a tire blow out on me and went into a curb going 40mph it was either the curb or a car so, you know what I did an here I am I hit the back right so drivers back and so far I've found I've wrecked my axle, the pin that holds the axle togther in the rearend including the rearend spider gears, bearings the carrier, the pin slotted it's self into the carrier it made it's self another hole. Also the rim, tire brake drum. The 3.73's look fine though. Well I'm lookin for a new differenial if anybody knows where that would be great, would need a good deal. Also putting like the powertrax or auburn or eaton less slip replace that carrier because I need a whole new carrier the thing that holds the spider gears. Also any axles for good price anywhere. Thanks everybody.

Man, that really sucks. Sorry to hear about your accident
I would recomend getting the Auburn carrier. I have a posi in mine, and love it I got mine from Ford. Check out some junk yards and see if you can pull the whole rear end out. |

I would suggest getting a new carrier/axle package from Drivetrain Direct www.drivetraindirect.com The Eaton kit is the best out for a street car IMO carbon fiber clutches and the unit is fully rebuildable unlike some Auburns that use cones. You can get a complete kit with axles, carrier, bearings, seals and all for $550. They advertise in MM&FF as well check them out. I would have the gears inspected if everything else is damaged there is a very good chance the gears are also bent or cracked, you can get new ones fairly cheap from Drivetrain Direct or Strange sells their gears for $159.
It could have been much worse, good luck!

Same thing happened to me man, except I wasn't going that fast, only about 15 mph. I got my axles from a salvage yard. check that out, you'll get your parts real cheap.
