Question Biggest Tire...

What is the biggest tire that you can fit on a 94 gt without quad shocks on it. I was looking at a 325 nitto drag radial. Will that fit??? Anyone got experience with this I will appreciate all replies...

Thanks..

That's cool. Does it rub? Do you know that?

Appreciate the reply. I'm trying to go a bit bigger then that but if that's all I can do oh well. I have very bad traction problems with the current suspension and horsepower combination. I'm trying to eliminate that in the tires right now.

if your trying to get power to the ground, you should really look at control arms. the stockers suck.

I got Control Arms on it already. Upper/Lower Hotchkis Also got some FMS C springs which are a bit stiff... I also got shocks by koni that are adjustable. The main problem right now is the 18 inch rims with NT555 nittos.

I'm looking to sell 18inch rims with tires on them Konig Villans. Where would be the best place to advertise that?

I run a 17x11 inch Centerline wheel with 315/35-17's. I was able to retain the quad shocks by flipping them 180 degrees. I have no issues with rubbing.

7 Inches of backspacing? Is that a lot? How does the tire and wheel look? I don't want it to be hanging outside of the fendors... I'm looking to buy 17x10's and 17x8 in the front. The rims I want are the Torq Thrust II. My main concern here is that the tire does not portrude out.

Trust me they are in the fender wells, I wouldn't want anything hanging out either. You can see the car in the readers rides or at http://home.earthlink.net/~cbzfan

Do you think a 325 tire would fit? On a 17x11 with 7 inch backspacing? Fit without having it sticking out past the fendors. Remeber I don't have quad shocks.

I went to Nittos site, the biggest drag radial they offer is the same size as my tires 315/35-17. That is the size you want if you want your speedo to be accurate. I run a 17x9.5 in front with 275/40-17's.

Hope this helps. BTW, I love the stance and attitude of the car. I am always getting comments on the "meats" in the back.
