Talking Want pics of your WELD RIMS

Im interested in getting a set of WELD DRAGLITES probably 15"8 in the rear and 15"7 in the front, I want bigger on the rear then on the front but want to avoid getting the skinny's because my car is a daily driver for now and see's the highway about everyday so I dont want to take away any handeling or stopping power, anyways I would like you guys/gals to post pics of your Weld Draglites on your cars or email me at Scrapla@hotmail.com and include what sizes your running so I can get an idea of what I want before I invest. I understand I might have to remove the quad shocks and maybe some minor rolling of the fender to get the look I want with some wide rear tires.

Sorry about that accident that really blows. What size are those(all 4), I like the rear wheels but the fronts are to small.

My rears are 15x8's with 275/50-15 tires on them. Fronts I believe are 15x3 or 15x4

Yeah accident sucked, but she''ll be fixed by spring time.

Here's a couple pics to consider. This is what can happen when you use aluminum racing wheels on the street...

WHOOPS!! Same Pro-Stars that I run. Makes ya think!

As far as size and stuff Scrappy, I have 15X8 on the back. Took off 275-60-15 tires, and put on 28 X 11.5 M/T Street ET. MINOR rolling of the fenderwell lip is all. Yeah, they'll fit. BTW, Pep Boys Futura GLS tires are the best kept secret. So-so on the street, so-so for longevity, but those suckers HOOK at the track! They don't hook like these ET Streets do, but for a low buck economy tire, Holy Cow! Food for thought when tire shopping. FYI All that smoke in my avatar is from a set of Futura's! hehehehehe

Thanks i'll look into that, I know a few people with welds that drive on them daily and drive harder then I do and they dont have any problems, I wanted the drag lites and not not the 5star or spoked kind so maybe there a little stronger anyways thanks for the feedback guys.

I run Weld ProStars on the street for 5 years now and they look good as new. You know you have to wash them and polish them.

Yeah, I hear that helps. lol. That rim in the picture was one of four that were on my ex's Aerostar. They had been on it for 6 years when she was flagged down by a passing trucker on the freeway. He noticed the wheel was wobbling pretty bad, and thought she should know. lol. She was told by the folks at Weld that their aluminum rims, while street legal, are not designed to be driven on the street, and that you do so at your own risk. Something about stress fractures from prolonged steady speed driving. Go figure.

I think all he is saying is if you do use them on the street that you do so at your own risk and do not be supprised if you do have a problem. Odds are you won't but the possability is good that you will if you run them long enough.

Just keep an eye on them.

Thanks James. Didn't realize I needed an interpreter, but that seems to be the case. Maybe it's a birthday thing.
