Angry Blew out my 3rd heater core!!!

I've put 3 heater cores in my car in the past 4 years. I was thinking about doing it myself this year but I know my mechanic took the entire dashboard out when he did it. Is there an easier way to do it?

Unhappy

The only easier way is if your car was factory w/out A/C. If so, just open the glove box and go to town. If you have A/C, taking out the dash is the only way. And it's a bi**h. Mine was... Good luck.

My 89 has a/c... I did it once... now it's bypassed.

If ya do it, you should get a flow restrictor for the inlet tube.

Also, it's so labour intensive, a budget core really isn't worth it (some of them are tacked together poorly).
