Angry Blowing Fuses!!

I just got a 92 5.0 and the fuses for the dash dimmer lights keep blowing out. It started when i pulled out the a/c control box to wire the Light Lead to a auto Light Tach. I have since removed the lead and as soon as i put a fuse in it blows back out... any ideas where i can find whats wrong?

Did you get any some or burning?. With the crapp wiring in the car when the wire becomes too hot the casing melts and it will actually fuse it self to another wire. That could be the reason the fuses keep blowing. Check the harness for the condition of the wire you hooked the tach to. To avoid any problems like this i wired a toggle to turn my guages and tach lights on. This way i can turn the off when the radar dectector goes off. its a little more work but you avoid using 10 year old wiring. Good luck

yeah, the only to really know is to look at the wires, so you might have to take off the instrument pod (Not too difficult) and look around for melted wires or anything suspicious! Good luck! Electrical problems suck!!!
