Default body project ?

has anyone converteda 79-86 front end to an 87-93 front end. i know u need a hood and fenders also matched with the year of the front end. but i have an 83 and would like to make it a lowered notch back gt withground effect. any recoomendations or refrence to certain companys would greatly be beneficial. i will strt by getting a parts car for the front end and i want a "r" hood. other thatn that should i try to get a gt or by an lx and get something from like cervini.

You shouldn't need new fenders. All you will need for the front is the bumper cover w/ grill reinforcement, headlights, marker lights, turn signal lights, and a hood. I'm not sure if the bumper itself inside the bumper cover is the same at a post 87.

If you want GT ground FX, you will need front fender extension, side skirts, rear bumper cover, rear bumper extensions, and door moldings. Might want to look into a donar car!

You do not have to get new fenders but the 87-93 are a little widder giving you a little extra clearence.

funny, every factory book says the fenders wont interchange
i know i need the extensions, and ground effects but to find a donor gt is mch harder than an lx, so still same question?
