How close is TOO CLOSE when it comes to steel braided fuel lines and exhaust???
I am wondering hoe close the fuel line could come to the headers and tailpipes on a 93GT when using a Cartech or Aeromotive-type fuel system with braided line. thanks

This is a tough question for anyone to really answer because of liability. If I were to say 2", for example, and your car exploded, I'd feel responsible. There are two issues. First, the obvious one of having enough clearance to make sure that your exhaust isn't actually touching your fuel lines. Steel braided lines should help prevent that, but I would make sure that the lines are far enough away and ridgedly mounted so that they can never come in contact with the exhaust. The second is a little less obvious but important for performance. You want to make sure that your fuel is as cool as possible. The farther away you can keep the lines the better.
