Squealing brakes!
My brakes drive me crazy. I replaced the front brakes about 6 months ago, and really haven't put too many miles on them, so I know they're not worn out, but everytime I hit the brakes they squeal. Why? Do you know of any fixes?
I've done the brakes about 4 times on this car, and they've never done this before!

check your rotors
When you said you did your brakes 4 times, did you machine your rotors too. If you didn't, then you should probably machine them, expecially if they're really shiny. Another problem could be that the paint from the pads is rubbing onto the rotor. When you buy brake pads, you should file off the paint that's stuck on the side of the brake pad itself if there is any there. Hope this helps.

There is an item available at any auto parts store called Disk Brake Pad Silencing Shims. They come several to a bag, and are cheap. You insert one behind each pad, and they work great. Less than $5 for a bag of them.
Take care, -Chris
