Breaking in a hi-po 393 with flat tappet lifters
I have 120 miles on the engine (since the new bearings were installed) and I haven't had the RPM's over 5K yet....light touching 5K only a couple times. Do I really need to put another 400 miles on it before I take it to the drag strip? I also should point out that I had 200 miles on the engine last year when I realized the bearings needed to be replaced. How much farther do I need to go before I can have fun?? When can I hook up the t-brake and get some results??
