AOD getting bubbles in the fluid
I checked the trans fluid in my AOD today and not only was it all across the dipstick so I couldn't tell what my real fluid level was, but all the fluid had bubbles in it too. I think it might be overfilled, but is there anything else that can cause the fluid to start to aerate? Also, it leaks trans fluid pretty badly....can't tell from where, but some of it is leaking out past the dipstick. It runs down the tube and either drips to the ground, or burns on my header, which causes a peculiar cloud of smoke to come from my right fender when I'm coming to a stop sometimes.
It's got over 150,000 miles and shifts like crap. Line pressure has been bumped considerably and it's got over a full bottle of Lucas SlipFix in it, trying to keep the clutches grabbing because they're starting to slip pretty bad.
