Oh yeah, did you send them a Postal money order? If so you can get the post office involve for mail fraud charges. That's a Federal offense.

You should contact Microsoft and tell them what happened so that they can track these individuals down. Any crime that involves fraud via mail (UPS, FED EX, Airborne, or any other official mail carrier) is a federal crime regardless of the means of payment.
