Default buying a new stang soon!

Hi guys, Its been a while since I've been here. I've decided to buy another Stang, only this time Im goin fox body. My friend bought an extremely clean 93 GT about six months ago. He put the LX tails, dropped it with 17 inch Cobra R's, Mac shorties, Bassani X pipe w Mac pro dumps, Mac cold air kit, pulleys, and he had the rear end completely rebuilt with an auburn diff, 355's and 31 spline superior axles.

Anyway he wants to buy a brand new car soon so he wants to sell his stang to me for 5 grand! He paid 5200 for it when it was stock and then put all this stuff on it. Its only got 70k on it too. Were both saving cash for a few months first but I like this deal.

I think Im just going to put an intake and a blower on it and leave it alone. Maybe a P1SC intercooled.

How much boost can a stock shortblock safely take? What kind of hp numbers am I looking at? Is 320 rwhp attainable?

Sweet! Sounds like a nice car.

I have no doubts that with a 9Psi blower you will easily hit the 320RWHP mark

I have a question for you, how do the mac produmps sound? and how loud is the car.

I am ordering BBK longtubes and X-pipe, and would like to do pro dumps but I wonder how loud they would be.

Good luck with the new ride!

You'll definately need an intercooled blower to make 320rwhp on the stock setup at 9psi. You shouldn't have any problems below 350rwhp. If you exceed 400hp (330rwhp) by much, the block will start getting sketchy.

Sounds pretty good for a clean car. Im lookin for something too. as a daily driver right now...

Id say you would need 9-10psi at the motor intercooled to see over 300rwhp. And some good tuning to see ~320hp. But it shouldn't be to much of a problem.

sorry it took so long to reply, Im glad to hear that the numbers are attainable. Anything over 300 at the wheels and I will be happy. This is DEFINITELY going to be a weekend warrior. No more driving my racecar to work and everywhere else.

Ed, I sold my car because it became a major pain and it had a list of problems that would take me 20 minutes to type up. I'll get another stang soon, and this time Im gonna do it right.
