Default Re: Bypassing Smog Pump

Scrapla:
Are you running all the other factory accessorys? The reason I ask, is that I spent about 4 hours wed morning running back and forth to the part store trying to find a belt to bypass my smog pump (siezed on the interstate tues night en route to work, shredded the belt, resulted in a nice long walk...Less said about that night the better )
Anyway, we were using pep boys, and IIRC tried everything from the 780r6 through like the 720, and could not get anything to fit. Finally I bypassed the P/S too, and got that one right on the first try. (705r6 I think)
If you know of a belt that'll work and leave the P/S active too, I'm not going to bother replacing the pump right now. *pathetic squeak* Help?
(I just replaced the smog pump about 6 mos. ago, and am not looking forward to doing it again)
(BTW the car has P/S, A/C, alt and smog.)

Thanks
J
