Tranny Question
Hey guys. I'm swapping my 3.8L V6 to a 2001 Cobra engine. I originally thought that the 2001 cobra had a t-45 tranny so I bought one to go with the engine. However, I just found out that the 2001 cobra has a tremec tranny. Will the t-45 work? Will I run into any problems? Is there anything I should know?

The t45 is a tremec transmission, tremec bought borg-warner. Mid 99- mid 01 v8 stangs use a t45. Mid 01+ uses a Tremec TR3650. Basically the same trans but with a fully synchonized reversed as opposed to the t45. Your t45 should work fine, though you may want to eventually upgrade to a tko or t56.
