Converting the Mustang R-12 system to R-134 is not a good idea, unless several components are replaced. R-12 is readily available, although expensive. It is cheaper than doing a proper conversion. The $29 kits may work for a while, but can eventually ruin a lot of components and really cost you some big money.

All R-12 systems, at this time, are getting some age on them and thus the seals are failing. My '89 needs new seals, and over the next few weeks, I will replace them, have the system evacuated and recharged with R-12 and new oil.
