Default Yet another Fox with Bullitt springs

Not that this hasn't been too common lately, but thought I would add another! The Bullitt springs are great - a huge improvement in ride over the FRPP B's and C's. The ride height is level now with about 1.25" above each tire. With Bilstein struts/shocks and the 245/45-17 Nitto 555's, the handling is phenominal! I also have lots of polyurethane (including the spring isolators) and a very rigid suspension. Hope these pictures will show up!

Nice ride! Does Ford RAcing carry thoseor do you have to get them from the dealer?

You can buy the springs through Ford although they are a bit more expensive. I picked these up from Gene Evans Racing in GA (www.gefracing.com) but they can also be had from Jim at PPI. I paid about $150+shipping whereas they will go for about $185 at the dealer. In any case, they are great springs and with the linear rates (600 & 250), the ride is great!

You must be a proud pappa. What method did you use to install them ? did you drop the whole control arm or did you use the old crowbar method ? Im interested because when installing lowered style springs (short) the crowbar is sufficient but with these bullit springs (longer) I would think its much more difficult. anyways its look real sweet !!

Thanks again. Yeah, I love driving my car, tons of power and great handling!

The springs were a bit of work. I didn't want to spend the $200+ for the Ford internal spring compressor, so I bought an "outside" compressor (or a set, rather) from a local auto parts store. The problem is the lack of room between the a-arm and the upper perch - I had to cut the threaded rod on each compressor down so I could wedge it in. It would have been easier to drop the control arm, but even with a torch, the lower bolts wouldn't budge!

It worked out though, and the ride is well worth it!!
