![]() I ordered my AFR 165's 58cc with the upgraded valve springs and seals from Ed Curtis today. Planning on having them on next weekend. Now i wanna get my hands on the new Edelbrock RPM Performer 2 Intake. Anybody know when the release date is on that intake. If it is too far off I might just go ahead and order a Systemax but from what i hear the new RPM is an even better intake. I should be seeing 11's on the motor very shortly
![]() with current setup i have been 13.03 with a 1.76 60ft @ 103.5mph thats with stock maf, injectors and untuned (running rich and timing isnt advanced)

![]() Nice nice. I want to get a new set, but im unsure of which type. If i get new heads they will definitely be GT-40's. But I dont know the diff between, GT-40P, GT-40, and GT-40X Heads. WHat is the difference?? Nice buy man, let us know the results with new ones.

![]() sweet purchase dragstang. I was looking at your sig and was going to do the same set up as you. what are some phone numbers and places to call for the 306 block, the afr 165's, edelbrock performer RPM intake? Where did u get your cam from? AND can i use the stock TB or should i get a bigger one? Thanks for any replies. I'm looking to start buying parts soon!
oh yeah, will my flowtech II equal length headers still be ok to use?

![]() Ok lets see...you can get a 306 assembled short block from DSS im not too sure on contact information...maybe you guys can help me out with that. Mine was just done at the machine shop. I ordered my AFR heads from Ed Curtis at www.flowtechinduction.com. The alphabet cams you can purchase from summit or jegs or any place like that or you can even get them from the dealership being that they are a ford product. I would recommend going with a custom grind rather than an alphabet cam. Im going to get a custom grind from Ed Curtis very soon myself. The performer intake you can also get from summit or jegs along with other places. If you buy the intake and heads i would go with either a 65mm or 70mm throttle body.
hope this helps

![]() High 12's is easy. I went a 13.03 @ 103.5 without the AFR heads. And that was without the timing advanced, with stock MAF, and running rich, with a blown head gasket. So i could easily get high 12's with the unported gt-40 heads. I know your car weighs more being a vert but with AFR's a decent intake and cam you'll see 12's with traction.
