![]() After all the b/s I've been through with T-5's and finally got my rod back on the road.I find a deal on a Tremec 3550w/shifter(not a tko). This is truly the way to go.My question is;can I pull my T-5 and stick the 3550 in with my OEM bellhousing, shift fork, clutch disc, plate, and drive shaft. Thanks, anthony

![]() The tremec has a different bolt pattern to the bellhousing than the T-5 unless you have a bulletproof bell from ford that has both bolt holes drilled( Ive got it!).

![]() >sn95gt19. So I do have to replace my oem t-5 bellhousing. The guy selling the trans has a bellhousing that comes with the tremec anyway. I guess that's not a problem. Can I use my T-5 clutch disc and drive shaft,is the yoke the same as t-5's. Thanks,Anthony

![]() You will need a new BH, if you go with a TKO you will need a new clutch disc, as the TKO has a larger input shaft. If you buy a new trans it should come with the new yoke. I have the McLeod BH that can accomodate the T5 or the Tremecs. You will also need a new shifter, unless you decide to go with the one that comes with the trans, which is like a stock T5 shifter.

![]() you can use your stock driveshaft, you only need a new yoke if you get the tko.
so youll need bellhousing (comes with trans) trans stock replacement clutch (10.5") whatever brand throwout bearing (if you need a new one) the only thing that you will HAVE to buy different is the throwout fork, the sn95's have a longer throwout fork so you have to buy one for the fox style. ford sells a kit that comes with the throwout fork, and a oem clutch cable. i paid ($65) hope that helps |

![]() >sn95gt19 Thanks for the info. You have really helped me a great deal.I just wish I'd come across this Tremec deal sooner.I put that ole junk T-5 in today. The one I had to swap input shafts on.It works fine, but for how long you never know.I'm hard on em.I live in Biloxi,MS. and the guy who has the Tremec lives in Galveston,TX. I'm leaving in the morning to go get it.8 hours one way.As you can see I want it bad.I'm gonna take a day off work next week and put that bad boy in.My brother owns a mechanic shop. With air tools and a rack, it shouldn't take long.I'm becoming a pro at taking them out and putting them back in.It only took me an hour an a half today to swap them.Since I didn't have to remove the bellhousing.Anyway I'll let ya know how it went in about a week. Thanks again for your help,it's appreciated more than you know. 95/GT/5.0 w/ a Tremec
