Unhappy cam and intake on

Well the cam and intake install went on finally, pulled the heads and ported, decked .010, crane springs, exhaust valves (nicked a few of them porting). Took lxmike out for a ride to a buddies house then took the buddy out, on the way back lost oil pressure. what a bummer worked for a week on her to get 70 miles in, but she sure pulls hard after 2000 rpm. any ways hope you made it home lxmike(raing like heck tonight) good thing for AAA. maybe it'll rain tomorrow so i can start pulling the bottom end apart.

same thing happened to me in May, i blew a head gasket right after i put my intake on, then after porting the heads and driving it for 30min i lost all oil pressure, but my dumb *** drove it home and ruined the bearings and wore the rings too
i got home, pulled the distributor and put a 1/4" drive 1/4" socket on some extensions and put it on the pump driveshaft and it turned freely by hand, so something got in there and locked the pump up
i found a very small piece of metal that had somehow gotten into the pump, the only thing i could think of is the little metal spacers on the valve cover gaskets
hopefully you shut it down as soon as you lost pressure so you dont have to go through the same crap i did
