Default Which cam for my heads/intake? Please help.

I just bought a 93 cobra intake. The upper and lower runners have been ported, even the throttlebody opening has been port.

I also bought a set of GT40 Cobra heads that have been ported on the intake and exhaust sides. The egr bumps have been removed as well and the ports on these heads are huge compared to my stock e7's.

My engine is completely stock besides the 65mm throttlebody and basic bolt-ons that I currently have. My question is, would anyone be able to recommend a good cam for my set-up. I drive the car everyday. Could someone recommend a cam other than the alphabet cams for me to take a look at. I would to start tearing my engine down this weekend. I can't wait to see the results, once I select a good cam.

What's wrong with an "alphabet cam"? The boys over at Ford Motorsports have done their homework with those cams. In fact I do believe an E303 or possibly an F303 cam is right up your alley. Maybe too much lift for your heads with the F303 cam, it'd depend on what your springs are good for. If they're stockers, stick with the E303.

even with the E and 1.7 rr's on my heads, the springs would'nt let it rev like it rev's now with the comp springs........I would rather have a comp cam xtreme cam, you can call their tech line, and tell them your combo, i've seen better results with comp cams by far, then the tfs cams as well....
The e-cam actually works well with gt-40 parts, on a efi 302 capable of about 300-320 flywheel....depending on supporting parts, it's pretty reliable and doesnt make my car too hard to start in the mornings.

Mine made 300 to the wheels on the stock cam. Nothing better than having people scratch their heads chewing on that one
