Default Can I do it safely?????

I dont like my new engine combo one bit. The intake kills any and all torque

New plan.

I have a ported GT-40 lower and a comp polymers box upper I am going to throw on there and I am going back to the stock cam.

Why??

I am about to buy a Vortech SQ trim from a friend of mine it comes with 42 # injectors, mass air sensor, FMU etc...

I dont want to make too much HP to where my car isnt reliable.

Stock cam
Canfield heads
Ported GT-40 lower with comp polymers upper
Vortech SQ trim

I am hoping the stock cam will keep the combo streetable. 400 @ the wheels is really all I want.

Opinions please.

The reason I am worried is cause he just blew up his engine with this charger. He was running the stock block just like me.

Bye Bye Speed Density

I think it's definately doable. sounds like a nice street combo that will still run strong at the track and for those "street encounters"

400 at the wheels with a stock block isnt a problem. I make more than that N/A. The key for you is going to be getting the right tune up in it. I'd suggest getting rid of the FMU and getting an Anderson Ford PMS, or an EPEC, or some sort of other computer piggyback system that can add fuel under boost. Either that or a stand-alone DFI, that way you dont have to worry about mass-air calibrations which are a huge problem. I know thats easier said than done cause your talking about another grand for any of those, but if you want it to last, thats what I would suggest.

What pullies are you getting with the blower?

Andy

All it has right now is a 12# pulley
