Ouch! So did you fix it?

Nah it was killed. warped the frame, impact hit hard enough that it buckled the floor under my feet and knocked the back window out. That was with all the stuff on the front end the car. You start taking stuff out and there's not telling what it would do but in that kind of impact I don't honestly know what it could help because it was going to get driven in pretty far anyways.

Yup, cavaliers are pretty tough, surprisingly. My friend mike gets into like an accident a month (good ones, too) and he's still rolling around in that thing.

I was in a crazy crash: I was at some party and I wanted to impress the chicks out on the front lawn so I do this monster peelout and I wasnt even 20 feet out when the car decides to turn sideways. I plowed down like 15 feet of plank fencing, two small trees, couple bushes and run the car up on top of this huge rock/boulder at the edge of the lady's property. My friend next to me, this HUGE 6 ft weightlifter dude was shrieking the whole time. I was just hangin on. At the last moment, I ducked my leg to the right as the fender support collapsed and this jagged piece of metal came through the plastic. We got out, looked at the car and the carnage and said damn.... engine was still running. Took 2 towtrucks at 90 degree angles to rip her loose. Cabin was twisted.

Other than that, a policecar rammed me in the fender cause he was speeding around in a parking lot. Of course I got blamed for it. See? This is why I say that I hit everything from the sides of the car

Dude, maybe I should put the airbag inside the front bumper! Yeah, that way, in a collision, the airbag acts like the bumper...

If your taking all that stuff off just to watch the front end rise your doing it the wrong way. Get a set of 70/30, or even 91/10 struts and enjoy looking at the sky.

If your taking all that crap out just to save weight to go faster then why not just add some more HP.

Just a thought, you be safer these ways too!

I do not know the ram fellow, but there's another pete running around with the same last name who seems to be even crazier than me (hard to imagine). I keep getting mistaken for him



Weight reduction is free!, makes for better handling, better braking and, most important for me, a really nice clean enginebay. I wish so bad that my scanner was working so I could toss up some pics, but there are 3 things in this enginebay: motor (duh!), radiator and brakebooster and NOTHING ELSE!. nothing. no wires, no vacuum hoses, nothing. It's all stuffed into the fender.

I'm an engineer by trade, so I like efficiency and there is so much unnecessary garbage riding along in these cars.

Go to walgreens or somewhere like that that has the picture scanner you use yourself that puts it on disk for you, costs pennys. I guess you'd really have to wanna do it. I don't think I'd waste my time, just a suggestion.
