Default Can I take this Mustang?

I've got a 91 Gt with a tci aod manuel valvebody with a converter, trans cooler, mac headers, off road h-pipe, flowmasters cat-back, 9mm wires,fpr,190lph fuel pump, full saleen suspension, aluminum driveshaft, 3:55 gears, edelbrock intake polished upper and lower , 3/8 spacer, underdrive pulleys, removed a/c, bumped timing. Now he's got The same year GT he's got mufflers, dual friction clutch and he just rebuilt he's engine to a 306 with just GT-40 iron heads stock everthing else. The thing is he's got a 5-speed but a high mileage abused rest of a car. Thanks

My nod goes to the 306. Considering it's beat, it might be close, but the 306 with heads should be much quicker.

"how much more power will a 306 make than a 302 with everything else the same(intake, heads, cam, etc)"

You said that the other stang had a rebuilt 306 w/ GT-40 heads. Those are not like your stock heads. Even with the stock cam & manifold (not sure why didn't complete the package?) he's making more power than you...plus he has a 5spd. So it sounds like the motor is fairly new and healthy, regardless of the condition of the rest of the car...sorry to say, it's going to be faster than your stang.

You should try to find some aftermarket cylinder heads & a cam, to take advantage of that intake! Then you'll pick up some real power. Let us know how it turns out if you guys run 'em!
