Default nitrous blow-off valve??

I have a '90GT with a 150hp dry nitrous system. In the past I have ran at the local track with no problems. However...last time I went there to just run "on motor"...they told me that in the future I would need a nitrous blow off valve for safety reasons...since my bottle is in my hatch area, and not in an enclosed trunk. They mentioned something about the blow off valve routing the nitrous out of the car, incase the bottle pressure were to get too high and the bottle explode or something along those lines. I'm not even sure if it's called a blow off valve?? Any of you nitrous boys out there have these? If so, where can I find one? Is it easy to install?

any time the nitrous isnt seperated by the truck, you need a blow off valve. its a blue aluminum pipe that goes on the side of the bottle valve, theres about 1 1/2 inches then it turns 90* and goes down to where your supposed to route it outside of the car, just in case the valve gives out, so the nitrous doesnt leak into the car.

this is what it looks like-its $19.95 through summit
it goes on the side of the valve-theres probably a nut with a couple holes around the sides of it.

Cool

I bought just the blow off valve and made my own blow down tube. But yes you got to have it.

The track in my area has been enforcing that since the start of 2002. You need a burst (blow off) valve and you can either make your own blow down tube or buy one, all the manufacturers make one. In fact at the track I race at you have to have the burst valve even if have a trunk.

I don't currently have one, but would like to put one on my camaro for safety reasons. My bottles are mounted in the passenger seat so I have no real reason to have one, but it's always safe. PUT ONE IN THERE!!
