![]() Well, there's two options:
1. computer or computer operator who looked up the plugs screwed up or: 2. Aftermarket cylinder heads, which if you car is heavily modified there's a chance they may be different. It's most likely 1 because even in most auto shops and parts departments theres always mistakes being made and information misread, etc. I believe nearly all 5.0L's take plugs ASF-42C (ford number), except for maybe the new explorers with the GT-40P heads, but i don't know the autolite number. ------------------ '84 Mustang 5.0 LX My car |

![]() I believe that the plugs you recieved from the parts store the first time were to big for the hole...right? If the plug was to big I have had the same problem, I raised hell at the partshouse for selling me the wrong plugs, but them we cross referenced the part number on the old plugs. I had heads off of an '86 capri, mid '80's crown vic, or a 4 cylinder stang. I recently took my heads off to replace head gaskets and found that the head was the closed chamber design.....thats a plus!!!

![]() hey man, im not sure what kind of heads they are but 94 and 95 gt's take 2545's. Regular gt40's take 765's. And stock 87-93 heads take 25's. THose are all autolite part numbers. The only difference between a 25 and a 2545 is the shank on the end... the 2545 has the threads that have more of a shank so they will go down in the head further... the threads on the 25's wont reach the spark plug hole if you try to putem on a 94 or 95. hope this helps man
