Cant tell, p/s or throwout bearing??
This noise drives me crazy, its kind of a rolling, higer pitch sound, i took the belt off to inspect the p/s which i know isnt in the best of shape, but i dont think its the p/s now, my clutch isnt to old, but has its share off 5 k launches on sticky tires, Im gonna bypass the p/s tommorrow, i guess i'll find out then, anyway I can inspect the tb?
thnx for the help |
I broke my Throw-out bearing at the track. I replaced it with a new one, now it chirps like a really annoying bird. If I rest my foot on the clutch it will change sound or go away. I don't know if this helps. I think if it is your T/O bearing when you press the clutch you should hear a difference in sound as the clutch fork moves. If anyone has any tips on how to stop it from Chirp, Chirp, Chirp with every revolution. I would be grateful. Is there some type of lube I can use?

it is possible that you bought a bad T/B, I replaced mine when the noise occured also, then it came right back, I thought the lube was the prob, maybe not enough or wrong kind, but when I took it into a mech he said I bought a bad one. Make sure when you buy one the bearings in it are in good shape, it turns smooth and stops turning when you let it go.
